VOL. 85 December 15, 2023

Dear Community Members,

We each have much to be thankful for as we approach the end of this semester and enter into the Christian holiday season of Christmas. I would like to share with all of you what I am truly thankful for:

First and foremost, I am thankful that I am a member of the GJS community, having daily opportunities to engage with, learn from, and work alongside our caring, dedicated, talented and supportive students, faculty and parents. True happiness comes from feeling welcome and valued while knowing your efforts have a positive effect on making meaningful and lasting contributions to our community.

Second, I am incredibly thankful for the hard work and dedication of a group of educators, leaders and community members, taken from our student, faculty and parent populations, who are committed to providing a breadth of learning, leading, caring, performing, presenting, competing, reflecting and celebrating opportunities for our community. Leadership is often NOT only by title; it is demonstrated through one's actions and by the care, compassion, dedication and resolve to see something through to its conclusion. Seeking not only to have it completed but done with pride and through to a successful conclusion.

This past semester has certainly demonstrated this mantra, and with a hand on my heart, I say thank you to the students, faculty and parents that make up our wonderful community. I am so very proud of the dedication, work ethic, commitment and resultant successes that have consistently been demonstrated and earned this semester
