Global Jaya School Parent Association has appointed a new Head of PA for 2023-2025 academic year, Ibu Bunga AR Anggoro who has been a member of Global Jaya School community for over a decade has been chosen for the prestigious position in the committee. 

The Parent Association of 2023-2025 has finalized its committee members, and the organization chart is as followed; starting with our Parent Association Executive Board of Members:

Ibu Bunga AR Anggoro was the Vice Head of PTA from 2021-2023 before being appointed as new Head of Parent Association for 2023-2025. Ibu Bunga is a proud mother of two, her eldest; Allea Amarantha Anggoro is the Student Council President in Year 12, while her son; Aqila Abdala Anggoro is a GJS Volleyball player currently a Year 9 student. Aside from her passion in education and social working, Ibu Bunga owns a marketing merchandiser company with clients from different industries 

Ibu Astrid Soeleman isn’t the only one who has been active in various activities in GJS, most importantly as Vice Head 1 in PA but her 2 children as well. Both Amina and Bira Hindarto are active at GJS Student Council’s member and in many school activities such as Taekwondo, Soccer, Swimming, GJSTV. Ibu Astrid has had years of experience working in Banking and Media industry and currently supervising Social and Religious Section, Health, Safety, Environment & Food Section, and Internal Communication Section. 

Ibu Tasya Nuarta is a dedicated mother of three and has been a member of Global Jaya Community since 2017. Ibu Tasya is the Vice Head 2 of PA for the year 2023-2025. She graduated from San Francisco State University for her Bachelor degree in Product Design and Development and gained her Master of Administration degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Besides owning a family business that runs in the Art industry mainly in Bandung, Ibu Tasya has just recently launched her new fashion line called NYAMAN. Her passion in both art and education allows her to teach Product Design at Pembangunan Jaya University. 

Ibu Fenny Kanoena is currently holding a position in the PA Committee as Secretary, a mother of 2 sons and an accountant. She has had experience in the PTA for 6 years in Changsha, Hunan Province, China holding various roles. Her deep passion for learning and exploring new ideas has sharpened her leadership and organizational skills. Ibu Fenny believes in the power of good education to shape young minds and make a lasting impact to create a better future for the next generation. 



Ibu Antin Amarisa has made contributions within the Parent Association. Her involvement began as a volunteer, she later served in the Islam Section, The Committee for selecting the PA Chairperson, have served as the Treasurer of the PA from 2021 to 2023 and continue as Treasurer for the upcoming PA tenure till 2025.

For Global Jaya School Parent Association Head of Sections, we have:

-  Ibu Rahayu Utami is in charge of the Social & Religious Section. She has been joining the GJS community since August 2020 with her 3 children; Aulia, Hanief and Daniya. She owns small businesses in retails and properties, and she enjoys baking in her free time.

-  Ibu Uti Setyorini is the Head section for Health, Safety, Environment & Food Section who has been a long-time member of Global Jaya School since 2013. She is a loving mother of two and has contributed to the Parent Association’s Board for the past 2 years, aside from being an entrepreneur herself. 

-  Ibu Dewi Permatasari holds the position as Head of the Internal Communication Section. She has earned her Executive Education from UC Berkeley School of Law and is one of designated ASEAN Professional Engineers from AFEO that has inspired her to be actively giving advice in the GJS program towards Sustainability along with the Green School Committee. She supports local community to preserve nature through her knowledge. 

-  Ibu Astrid Pramudityo assigned as Head of External Communication Section, is a wife and mother of two. She has been an active member of Parents Association since last year, 2022. Ibu Astrid is also a Group Head of Corporate Secretary at PT. MITJ, a joint venture company owned by PT.MRT Jakarta and PT.Kereta Api Indonesia. 

-  Ibu Azzah Abdullah is currently serving as Head of Event section. She began her career as a corporate lawyer in Kuala Lumpur before moved to Indonesia and opens her own charming café called Kasuie & Kochie, specializing in Malaysian cuisine.  She has been actively involved with Global Jaya School for almost 10 years and a mother of two with her daughter graduated in 2020 and her son is currently in the IB Diploma Programme.

-  Ibu Cynthia Roosdiono Habibie serves as Head of Sponsorship Section, goes by the nickname Bebe is a working mother of two. She has been an active class parent in her kids previous school and loves to participate in parent-school relationships. She works as the Head of Technology for PT. Batam Bintan telekomunikasi and owns an IT Outsourcing Company as well. She loves to workout, a yogi and an avid cyclist herself. 

In addition to changing its name from Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to Parent Association (PA); for academic year of 2023-2025 GJS Parent Association has a total of 33 members of parents and 10 project-based volunteer parents.

The Parent Association just had their first preliminary meeting with all its previous and new members who joined this year as part of the Parent Association Committee; on Wednesday, October 18th 2023. Commemorating the start of new tenure with a simple ceremony of Tumpengan (Serving of the ceremonial yellow rice); Global Jaya School Parent Association has officially started the term of the office. Since then, PA has conducted meetings within its section to discuss further details about the Parent Association Agenda for the next year ahead. 

Halloween Movie Night that took place on Friday, October 27th 2023 at Global Jaya School Multi Purpose Room was the first school event supported by Parent Association this year; by curating stall vendors to help the event which was led by GJS Student Council.

For the past two months since the new tenure of Global Jaya Parent Association has been appointed, Parent Association has held many events within Global Jaya School. Here are the recaps of successful and momentous events organized by Parent Association:


1.     Halloween Events

Global Jaya School Book Week and Wellbeing Committee together with the Parent Association has held various Halloween theme and book events for the duration of a week-long celebration starting from October 30th.  A Pre-Book week event has begun the week before; from Secondary Halloween Movie Night, Extreme Reading Competition to Door Decorating Competition where all students at Global Jaya School were taking part in. 

On October 31st, the whole school dressed up as their favorite book character as well as Halloween costume and had a Costume Parade at the school Gym. In addition to have prepared some Halloween decorations across school campus as photo spots for the whole school to enjoy, Parent Association has also selected top five food vendors to participate for the Book week event; many sweet treats such as Halloween theme cookies, cupcakes, brownies and cakes from IBU KUKIS and SWEETTOOTH, a mouthwatering steam buns from BAKPAONYA KOKO, delicious taste of Manado from WINKLE, and an authentic Malaysian canai and curry from KASUIE & KOCHIE. 

Book vendors from Periplus and Paperback online bookstores have joined the three-day Book Fair event, students get to Meet the Author Cassandra Greenwell for an interactive book reading session, and Library Scavenger Hunt activity. Finally, completing the annual Book Week event with a Book-in Reading; where students and teachers gather in the theater and bring a book to read silently for ten minutes. Book Week Competition winners were also announced during the Book Week Assembly, congratulations to all winners and participants of this Global Jaya School Annual Book Week Event 2023!

2. Islamic Study Session (Kajian Islam) 

Global Jaya Parent Association held its first ever Kajian Islam (Islamic Study Session) on Friday, November 17th 2023 at MPH, Global Jaya School. The Kajian was led by Ustadz Afdholi Ali Rachman, MA who is also a regular speaker at Kebayoran Residence Grand Mosque. The study session theme centered around AL QURAN SOLUSI HIDUP (Al Quran for every life’s solution), focusing more on how to lean on and surrender to Allah SWT and to resolve life's problems through the guidance of Al Quran. This notable event went splendidly with lots of enthusiastic minds in attendance throughout the study session.          

3. Teacher’ Day 

To celebrate and honor our Global Jaya School Teachers, Global Jaya Parent Association gathered for a relaxing and intimate afternoon with our hardworking teachers for a Teacher’s Day. A simple yet very warm and cozy event created especially to salute one of our most respected members in the Global Jaya School community. 

Teachers, Parent Association members as well as our year Level Representatives were all in attendance on Friday, November 24th 2023 evening at Secondary canteen area. Some were seen enjoying a good conversation, munching on afternoon snacks of Bakso Malang, coffee and even delicious sandwiches.

 A fun YouTube Karaoke session was also the activity enjoyed by many, with various genres of songs being heard loud on speakers. Glad and delighted that everyone, especially teachers, had unforgettable memories on the very first Teacher’s Day Celebration at Global Jaya School.

 4. Green Committee Parent Sustainability Session 


Parent Sustainability Session was the first collaboration event supported by Green School Committee and Global Jaya School Parent Association. This outstanding occasion went successfully on Friday, November 24th, 2023; with many parents and students of Global Jaya School involved. 

Dr. Karina Rusdah from Good Practice Clinic gave amazing science-based insights about air pollution and how it is affecting our children's health on a daily basis during an indoor session. Followed by an outdoor session of Tree Planting, with a total of approximately 60 participants joining including Global Jaya School leadership team, Global Jaya Parent Association leadership, Green School Committee, Student Councils Representative, GSC Student volunteer, Global Jaya School staff and support team.

20 types of trees were planted around the Global Jaya School Soccer field area, from mango trees to guava trees with various varieties planted and predicted to be harvested for the first time in the next 2 to 3 years ahead.  

We truly hope the tree planting session could inspire the Global Jaya School community to be more aware of the importance of taking good care of our environment and planet.
