Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your warm welcome. The Global Jaya Students are a true joy to work with.
Year 10:
The year 10 MYP students have already started their Personal Projects. These are required for all MYP year 10 students around the world and are a true reflection of personal learning and reflection. This week students are learning how to research more effectively and signing up for their National Library Card with our librarian Ibu Aprinda.
In addition, a parent information session will be held on Friday, September 1st at 8:30 in the MPR3 Room in the B building. For those who are unable to attend you can view the presentation here. We encourage you to follow your child’s tasks and research by visiting the GJS Personal Project Site. Finally, please mark your calendars for the Personal Project Exhibition date of January 26th.
Years 7-10:
All year 7-10 students are busy working on their Service as Action that is required for all MYP students. Please view the chart below for the SA requirements or view the GJS Service as Action site for further information. We are also reaching out to our school community and encourage you to contact Ibu Muti, our SA Coordinator in grades 7 and 8, or Ibu Popy, our SA Coordinator in grades 9 and 10, with interesting service opportunities you may be aware of. The Week Without Walls will also count as a Service as Action experience after students write their reflection in Managebac.
