Greetings from the GJS Library

Welcome back to the GJS Library Resource Centre! We are looking forward to a great year of reading adventures. We are so happy to help our children explore the library and can not wait to share great books and other resources with them. Hopefully, you had a wonderful holiday and spent some time enjoying a good book! 

Our library provides various print and electronic formats and online subscriptions for your personal and academic needs. You can access our print and electronic format resources by visiting our catalog: library.globaljaya.com. (Please log in using your school’s Google account). We also have some online subscriptions, such as PebbleGo (K-Year 2), BrainPop (Upper Primary - Year 9), and JSTOR (Secondary). Please click here for more details about our online subscriptions.

Opening Hours

The GJS Library opens at 7.15 am Monday to Friday and closes at 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 3.30 pm Friday. Each class in Primary has a weekly timetabled visit to the library. Students can also visit the library when their classes come into research. When permitted by classroom teachers, students are welcome to go to the library to study and use the library facilities. 

Loan period

Children can borrow two books at a time for fourteen days. Still, we encourage the children to exchange their books every week to promote good library habits so they can enjoy a wide variety of reading material. Parents are also welcome to visit our library before or after school to borrow books or simply browse and read. You can borrow two books at a time for seven days. We will send overdue notices as a reminder after the item is due. There will be a replacement cost for damaged or lost items.
