Dear Wonderful Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to share the exciting achievements and experiences that our students have had during the first month of the school year. It's been a fantastic start, and we couldn't be prouder of our students' progress.
Forming Strong Routines:
In just a few weeks, most of our students have beautifully settled into their new routines and environment. From morning arrivals to organized classroom activities, they have shown remarkable adaptability and responsibility. Forming routines is essential for a successful learning environment, and we are delighted to see our students form essential agreements and enthusiastically embracing them.
Inspiring Assemblies:
Our school assemblies have been a great source of inspiration and motivation for our students. From sharing stories of perseverance to exploring the importance of kindness, these gatherings have ignited a spark of curiosity and a desire to make a positive impact. Parents are welcome to attend these assemblies if your child’s year level is hosting them. We look forward to more enriching assemblies in the coming months.
Parent Meetings and Partnerships:
We deeply value the partnership between our school and our parents. This month's parent meetings were an excellent opportunity to connect with other parents, learn more about the curriculum, and find ways to be involved in your child’s educational journey. Your involvement is crucial in creating a supportive and nurturing educational environment, and we appreciate your active participation.
Celebrating Independence Day:
Diversity is one of our strengths, and this month, we proudly celebrated Indonesian Independence Day. Students participated in a whole school Upacara (Flag Raising ceremony) and then moved on to smaller celebrations at their year level. It was beautiful to witness the national pride of our young learners who hosted a fashion show and those of older grade level who engaged and participated in traditional games. It was heartwarming to see the unity and respect among our students during this celebration.
Start of After-School Activities:
The beginning of after-school activities marked a fantastic opportunity for our students to explore new interests and talents. From sports to arts and everything in between, our wide range of activities allows each student to discover their passion and develop valuable skills outside the classroom.
Label Items:
We often experience students walking into the office to report their missing belongings. We request parents, please label their children’s clothing and belongings so we can quickly identify the owner of the lost item when they are found.
Healthy Eating:
Good habits start early. Healthy eating improves gut health. There is much research on how gut health improves mental ability and productivity. We encourage parents to send in healthy food or fruits instead of sugary and sweet drinks.
As we reflect on the past month, we are excited about the growth and potential that lie ahead. We encourage open communication and invite you to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions, or if you simply want to share your child's successes with us.
