Sponsorship & Donations
MBA Student Organizations can receive sponsorship or/and donations from external or internal stakeholders, including but not limited to companies, individual donors, and departments.
What is the process for sponsorship for MBA Student Organizations?
MBA Student Orgs search for potential Donors or Sponsors.
If you plan to contact an Alumni, please reach out to McDonough Alumni Relations Team (Emails available at MBA Admin Page).Confirmation information with your Sponsor/Donor
Once your donor/sponsor has confirmed they would like to support your club, MBA Student leaders must ask the following information:
Message to send to sponsor/Donor:
Dear Sponsor,
Thank you very much for your support in sponsoring our <NAME OF THE CLUB> event. Could you please send an email confirming the information below?
- The total amount of the sponsorship
- Preferred payment method
(Options are: 1. Pay via website with a credit card, 2. Pay via electronic transfer (ACH or Wire) or 3. Pay via Check)
- Name of Organization
- Description of Services (What event/initiative will they be sponsored and for which student organization?)
- Point of Contact (Payee Name)
- Address
- Email
- Will you require an invoice? If yes, let me know if your organization requires to add any other information to the invoice (E.g. PO Number)
Once your sponsor/donors confirm this info, please forward it to your MBA Program Office Advisor.
Invoice
If an invoice is needed, request one for the MBA Program Office via mbaprogramoffice@georgetown.edu.
Make sure to forward the information listed in step 2 above.
Once the invoice is ready, the MBA Program Office will send it back to the student that requested it
Processing time: Around 5 business daysProof of Payment
After payment is confirmed, MBA Student Leaders must ask their sponsor/donor for a receipt and send it to the MBA Program Office and cc their MBA Program Office Advisor. If a receipt is not received, then sponsorship won't be confirmed.
Student leaders can't use any funds until the sponsorship recipient has been confirmed by the MBA Program Office.Revenue Request on Hoya Connect
Once the sponsorship is confirmed, MBA Student Leaders must add the revenue to their club balance on HoyaConnect.

*Payers are responsible for all fees related to the electronic transfer of funds, including both international and domestic wire transfer fees. When sending funds electronically, please elect to cover the cost of the transfer fee to ensure that the full invoice amount is received by Georgetown University.
