What Gift & Swag Options do I have as an MBA Student Organization?

MBA Student Organizations can provide gifts and swag for contributors (like speakers, alumni, mentors) and/or club members.
MBA Student Organizations must use their own funds for these items and ensure designs comply with Georgetown and MSB guidelines.

Gifts for Career Days (2024) should be requested directly to MBA Career Center mbacareercenter@georgetown.edu

Option 1: Ready-made MBA
Branded Gifts & Swag

Select items from a list of pre-ordered limited products (MBA Branded Gift Catalog). This option is available for less than 10 items needed. 

You must request this at least 15 days in advance. 

Option 2: Order Customized Gifts & Swag

Create customized gifts and swag with external vendors. This option is available if you want to personalize your gifts or need more than 10 items. It takes at least 30 days to manufacture the products, so plan according to your vendor's timeline.

Option 3: McDonough Overstock Swag Store


Internal MSB swag store through which you can purchase select McDonough merchandise. These are overstock items, so selections, sizes, and quantities are limited and offered at cost.

Please note that merchandise can only be purchased through an internal transfer using your club work tags.

Simply add items to your cart, specify your department and work tags, and place your order. We will send you an invitation to pick up your items from the Alumni Relations office within 2-3 work days.

Option 4: Buy at
Georgetown Stores

This is the most expensive option, and we do NOT encourage leaders to use club funds with this option. However, this is still an option if your club has the funds.
There are online stores and a physical store.

How to request swag or gifts for your MBA Student Organization?

How to request Ready-made MBA Branded gifts?

1- Item Selection
Review the MBA Branded Gift Catalog and select the items you'd like to request. Review the total cost of your selection and ensure your club has enough funds to cover it.

2- Payment Request
Submit a Payment Request via Hoya Connect (Payment Request Tutorial) at least 15 days in advance.

3- Contact MBA PO
Once approved, email the MBA Program Office Team with:
- Your Student Organization
- Products you'd like and quantity
- When will you need the gifts ready

4- Confirmation & Pick Up
The MBA Program office will confirm your requestgifts availability, and the date you can pick up your gifts at MBA Program Office Front Desk



How to request customized gifts?

1- Vendor Selection:
Choose a vendor (Click here to view a list of suggested vendors), request quotes, and inform of Georgetown University's sales tax-exempt status (Click here for documentation to have sales tax removed).

2- Payment Request
Once you have the final quote WITHOUT sales tax, submit a Payment Request via Hoya Connect (Payment Request Tutorial). Ensure your club has enough funds to cover it. Options for payment are:
A- Procard (at least 15 days) , sign procard agreement and pick up the card at MBA Program Office.
B- Wire/bank transfer (at least 30 days).

3- Branding/Logo Approval
If you use Georgetown University or MSB logos or branding in your club swag/gits, you must:
a- Follow the Logo and Branding Guidelines.
b- Email the MSB Marketing  & Communications Officer for approval (Teresa Mannix). Cc you MBA Club Advisor. 

4- Confirmation
Once the MBA Program Office approves the payment request, and MSB Marketing Officer approved the layout with MSB/GU logos, you can send a confirmation to the vendor.

5- Delivery
You can share your personal address or send it to the MBA Program Office (only allowed for purchases made for MBA Student Orgs, not personal).
If you will be shipping items to MBA Program Office, please be sure: The club/student group (e.g. "Consulting Club") and name of club contact are clearly noted on the shipping label and email the MBA Program Office with information about the delivery.

6- Post-payment reconciliation
Within a max of 3 days, submit a post-payment reconciliation  (Post Payment Request Tutorial) and return the procard, if applicable.

How to request gifts from GU stores?

1- Vendor Selection:
Choose a vendor, request quotes, and inform them of Georgetown University's sales tax-exempt status. Click here for documentation to have sales tax removed.

2- Payment Request
Once you have the final quote WITHOUT salex tax, submit a Payment Request via Hoya Connect (Payment Request Tutorial). Ensure your club has enough funds to cover it. Options for payment are:

If you use Georgetown University or MSB logos or branding in your club activities:

2- Get the approval from the Marketing  & Communications Officer
