Our field trip to the Dallas World Aquarium is next Wednesday! Here are some helpful hints for the big day:
eat a hearty breakfast (Students will eat lunch much later than normal. We will eat a snack in the classroom before we load buses.)
wear a Silver Lake shirt (wear a blue or green shirt if you do not have a Silver Lake shirt)
wear tennis shoes and socks
send a lunch box and drink to eat in the classroom upon our return to school (unless you preordered a sack lunch from the cafeteria for your child)
arrive on time (buses will not wait on students running late)
you will not need to send spending money (we are NOT visiting gift shops)
Thank you to all the parents that have volunteered to join us on our field trip to the Dallas World Aquarium. Chaperones must provide their own transportation for this event. You are welcome to organize carpools and follow the buses. Parking prices in the Dallas World Aquarium area vary from $8 to $15. Students will remain on the buses until after teachers have checked in and Dallas World Aquarium staff are ready for us to enter the facility for our designated visit time. Teachers would love for each chaperone to meet their child's class at the bus to help with the unloading process (if possible). Your child's teacher will have an admission sticker for each paid chaperone from her class. Our designated tour time will be from 10am - 12pm. Your chaperone duties will be complete when your group has loaded the bus.
*We will share more chaperone specific information with you next week.
Your child's first grade performance is quickly approaching. Just in case you deleted the email from the specials teachers, we are including the information below:
