The majority of the film's key scenes take place in a shabby and decaying staircase, which is a common location for horror scenes. As a sound designer, it's my responsibility to create connections between the horrible shots and suitable noises, such as character movements and background music. For example, the abrupt flash lights combined with harsh machinery sounds effectively increases the audience's familiarity with horror films. Thus, in order to create more horrifying sound effects that will more successfully astonish and surprise the audience, I decided to put myself in their place.
