An awkward ophthalmologist looks for love after being repeatedly rejected over his obsession with eyes.
A 26 year old opthalmologist named Frederick goes on countless speed dates, repeatedly making eye jokes. After repulsing each date with his humor and unsettling personality, he remains alone until one day he stumbles upon a glass eye which, he believes, belongs to his soulmate. Iris, a 28 year old woman freshly out of surgery, approaches him with a bandage covering one eye. As he discovers she shares his humor and appreciation for eyes, Frederick finally finds his soulmate.
Olivia Hirsch, a rising senior from Scottsdale Arizona, possesses a unique blend of talents and creative spirit. She has a deep appreciation for the arts as a dancer and looks to communicate through multiple avenues. After participating in a summer film course, she has continued looking for more opportunity to expand her filmmaking skills. Although a novice filmmaker, she hopes to create films that provoke deep thought in her audience.
Sofia Parisotto is an emerging filmmaker, graduating in the class of 2025. She currently attends Bishop Garcia Diego in Santa Barbara, California, although growing up in the Bay Area. Sofia was selected as a finalist for screenwriting in the Santa Barbara International Film Festival 2023, with the film she wrote and produced premiering during the festival, and was awarded for academic excellence in Film by Bishop Diego. Hoping to pursue film in college and beyond, Sofia continues to look for opportunities to better her filmmaking skills and future career.
Victoria Glass is an emerging artist graduating from UWC East Singapore in 2024. She takes Higher Level Film and Theater in school, does commercial modeling, and aspires to be a director and actress. Her signature is distinctly an emphasis on tension and intense cinematography. Her interest in film stems from social justice movies, holding the strong belief that films are the most effective medium at telling the world what needs to be heard.
Bryce Yates is a rising senior from Charlottesville, VA. After trying to pinpoint a career in which he could pursue his various interests across the arts, he realized his passion in film. Since taking his first virtual film class at the University of Notre Dame, where his project won Best Film, he has taken various cinematic college classes and produced his own shorts at home. After college he hopes to work as a director, screenwriter, and actor.
Christopher Romero-Sosa has been performing for 15 years, having worked on 10+ short-form Film/Television projects and over 25 stage productions including Spring Awakening (Moritz) and a regional tour of Newsies (Crutchie). A Mexican-American, 1st gen graduate from UCLA, he finished with a degree in Global Studies, though- he spent his first 3 years in the competitive Ray Bolger Musical Theater Program. Most recently he starred as the lead in a CCH thesis.
Molly is an actor, director, writer, and educator based in L.A. She hails from Milwakee, WI and received her undergraduate training at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities where she earned her Theater degree. Since graduation, Corkins has trained with the SITI Company at Skidmore College and the Suzuki Company of Toga (Scot) in Togamura, Japan. She has taught across the Midwest and L.A. and is an MFA candidate at UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television.
