Auteur Film Project: What If....

Logline: Girl gets random text from boyfriend and starts overthinking about their relationship. She later realises that the text meant nothing compared to what she thought. 

Film Makers Intentions: My filmmaker's intention as a cinematopgrapher was to capture the emotions of worriedness, shock and saness in the characters facial expressions as she goes through the emotions of a breakup and the relief of seeing her boyfriends text. Through the lens of being the cinematographer, my goal is to immerse the audience in subjective experience of the protagonist and to capture the changes in mood when she gets the text from her boyfriend. Lighting played a big role in portraying the atmosphere in the film as well as camera angles to really bring out the emotions being portrayed on the actors face so that the audience can clearly see how the actor is feeling and better understand the film.
