Mrs. Massey

Hi! My name is Ms. Massey! I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher for the 2020-2021 school year! I am thrilled to be entering my 10th year of teaching. I have previously taught Child Development, Kindergarten, First grade and 3rd/4th grade intervention.

I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Integrated Teaching through the Arts. I have a passion for teaching through a “multi-sensory” approach that incorporates each student’s unique learning style and fosters a “hands on” environment that creates a love for learning.

When I am away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family. James and I have a two amazing kids: Kaylyn (6 1/2) and Brady James (2 1/2). Kaylyn loves gymnastics and dance. She is very excited to be a first grader at ODE! Brady loves gymnastics, Spider Man and Batman.

In my free time , I love coaching All-star cheerleading at MBA and having family game nights. I am delighted to spend the year with each one of you setting sail on our Kindergarten pirate adventure . We will explore new territories, all “hands on” deck! We are looking forward to the many treasures that are waiting to be discovered on our voyage!
