Welcome back 5th graders!

Hello, my name is Mrs. Lewis and I am a 5th grade teacher at Ocean Drive Elementary! This is my 7th year teaching. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Last school year I received the Gifted and Talented endorsement on my teaching certificate. I truly love teaching and watching students grow academically and socially. Building positive relationships is extremely important to me. I strive to get students excited and motivated to learn each and every day!

I am originally from Pennsylvania, but have now lived in South Carolina for fourteen years. My parents moved me to South Carolina when I was in high school. I am married to my high school sweetheart and together we have one son named Jakoby. One unique fact about me is that I am a triplet with my two sisters! To add to that, I also have three older brothers and three older sisters. I love love love the color teal! I love to listen to music, especially dance/electronic music. Dunkin donuts coffee, Chick-fil-A, Jersey Mike’s, Gino’s pizza, and El Cerro are some of my favorite places to eat. I loved playing sports growing up, especially volleyball! I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am excited for this new school year to begin and look forward to teaching your child! Ocean Drive Elementary is the best school, so please know that your child is in good hands!
