Tripod attributes are saved for each layout. Changing a tripod's attributes on the current layout will not reflect it's attributes on the other layouts.
A tripod can have a minimun height of 1m, and a maximun height of 3m.
Tripods can be used to mount cameras in a volume, when trussing is not appropriate.
Tripods can be added to a volume via the Edit Volume inspector.
To add a tripod:
Select Edit Volume button from the Default Inspector.
Select Add Tripod button from the Inspector
Tripods are spawned at the center of the volume (position 0, 0, 0) with a height of 1m.
To remove a tripod, select the Tripod and press the [Delete] key.
To adjust the position, select the tripod and either:
Drag the position gizmo in the scene view to reposition the truss
Enter a value into the position field in the adjustment inspector
Drag the position field value left/right to adjust the position field value
The height of a tripod can be adjusted to allow cameras to be placed at different heights.
To adjust the height of a tripod:
Select the tripod by either;
opening the Edit Volume inspector then selecting the tripod in the Mounts list, or
in the 3D view port, selecting the base of the tripod
Adjust the hieght by either;
Entering a value into the length field, in the inspector window, or
Dragging the length field value in the inspector window, left/right using the [left mouse] button to adjust the length value down/up
When the height of a tripod is changed, any constrained cameras will have their heights adjusted as a ratio of the new tripod height.
To remove a tripod, select the Tripod and press the [Delete] key.
There are two ways to enable or disable a tripod in the volume:
Click the (Eye) Icon next to each tripod listed in the Edit Volume Inspector window
Select the tripod and click the Show/Hide button in the Tripod Inspector window
Tripod position and height attribtues can be copied from one tripod to another. This can be useful when adjusting tripods across a multi layout project file.
Copy and paste tripod attributes by using the [Keyboard Shortcut] or using the Copy and Paste buttons in the camera inspector:
Copy Attributes
To copy the attributes of a tripod, in the 3D view port select the source camera and either;
pressing [Ctrl] + [C] on the keyboard, or
click the Copy Attributes button in the Tripod's Inspector window
Paste Attributes
To paste previously copied attributes on to a tripod, select the target tripod and either;
pressing [Ctrl] + [V] on the keyboard, or
click the Paste Attributes button in the Tripod's Inspector window
Copying a tripods attributes will override previously copied attributes.
The Paste Attributes button in the Tripod Inspector window will be greyed out if no tripod attributes have been copied.
