Installation

Notes:

Older versions of TVA (prior to v3.0.0) may be identified by Windows as an unrecognised app, preventing it from opening. If this occurs,  please right-click the 'Tracklab Volume App.exe' file and update the security settings in the properties window. More information is available on the [troubleshooting page]

Downloading the App

The TVA installer is available on the Downloads page here

Once downloaded, double click on the (.exe) install file to start the Setup Wizard, and follow the prompts to install the latest version. 

Running the App

You can run TVA by searching for the app name in the windows start menu, and clicking on the application icon.  Otherwise,  search for 'Tracklab Volume App.exe' in your computer's Program Files directory and double click on the executable (.exe) file. or

Older versions of TVA (prior to TVA v3.0.0) can be run by open the TVA folder from where you downloaded/copied it to, and double-clicking on the `Tracklab Volume App.exe`.  All files and folders from the original download must be included, the app will not run without them.

Updating the app

To update the TVA to a new version, download the latest installer from the [downloads page] and double click on the .exe file. The setup wizard will override the current version with the latest from the installation file.

Preferences and logging files

Logs and preferences are saved to `%APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Tracklab\Tracklab Volume App`.

Volume File Format (.tva)

The TVA installer will associate .tva files with the currently installed TVA version. Double clicking on a .tva file will open the TVA application. To open a specific volume please select it from the project list in the menu.
