Today we are going to use colorful words. When you write, using exciting, colorful words helps make your writing interesting and fun to read. If you were going to write a story that takes place in a meadow near a pond your characters could be described as:
hoppy toad
soft-furred opossum
bright-red ladybug
chubby, velvety mole
golden-breasted meadowlark
graceful butterfly
To describe how they move we can use words like:
flutter
glide
slithered
floated
twitched
You can also use your five senses to describe what the weather is like.
