Step 2: Define
Step 2: Research and investigate similar problems
You will need to do some research about toys that are similar to the type you've chosen.
Your documentation may be in point form.
Questions you will need to find answers include:
What is the size of part that is considered a chocking hazard for children under 5?
How big should the toy be? Keep in mind the cost requirement and the printer size.
Which parts should move?
How many parts does it need to be made into?
Do the parts need to be printed separately or together?
How do the parts fit together?
Along with ideas for your design, you may also discover potential stumbling blocks and/or design complications.
Assignment: Research Summary
When you have completed your research phase, you must submit your summary (point form is fine) to your ePortfolio, entitled "Investigation & Research".
Put the questions from above into the document.
