Unit 1: Physics
In Unit 1, students study key physics models of energy, including light, thermal energy, radioactivity, nuclear processes, and electricity. They apply these concepts to real-world issues such as communication, climate change, medical treatment, electrical safety, and energy use.

Unit 2: Physics
In Unit 2, students investigate how experiments develop scientific models and study forces and motion through practical inquiry. They apply physics to a chosen case study and explore its relevance to society through topics such as climate science, flight, medical physics, astrophysics, and other applied fields.

Unit 3: Physics
In Unit 3, students study field theory and how gravitational, electric, and magnetic fields explain motion without contact. They explore electricity generation and transmission, and apply field concepts to technologies such as power distribution and particle accelerators.

● AOS 2: How do things move without contact?
● AOS 3: How are fields used in electricity generation?
Unit 4: Physics
In this unit, students explore key changes in physics understanding, including wave–particle models of light and matter and Einstein’s theory of relativity. They examine concepts such as length contraction and time dilation and investigate applications of modern physics. Students also design and conduct a practical investigation using primary data and a continuous independent variable.
