Unit 1: Drama
In this unit, students devise and perform original dramatic works using a range of contemporary performance styles and conventions. They create, present, and analyse solo and/or ensemble performances based on personal, cultural, or community stories.

Unit 2: Drama
In this unit, students study aspects of Australian identity by engaging with contemporary drama practices as artists and as audiences. Contemporary drama practices are outlined in the terminology section of this study. Students explore the work of selected contemporary drama practitioners, including Australian practitioners, and their associated performance styles. They focus on the application and documentation of play-making techniques involved in constructing a devised solo or ensemble performance.

Unit 3: Drama
In this unit, students explore the work of drama practitioners and contemporary performance styles while collaboratively devising and presenting an ensemble performance. They use play-making techniques, dramatic conventions, expressive and performance skills, and production elements to transform ideas into meaningful performances for an audience.

Unit 4: Drama
In this unit, students develop and present devised solo performances using a range of contemporary and historical performance styles. They use play-making techniques, dramatic conventions, expressive and performance skills, and experiment with character, time, place, and symbol to create meaningful performances.
