Beecroft Zone Interschool Sport
General Information:

Affectionately known as PSSA Sport since the beginning of time......

Beecroft Zone offers Interschool Sport to its Member Schools on an opt-in basis each Summer and Winter for Stage 2 & 3 students.

Due to the shear size of the Beecroft Zone, combined with the traffic on Pennant Hills and New Line Roads, Interschool Sport was split into 3 clusters sometime in the early 2000s.

• Cluster 1: 

  • •  Epping PS, Epping North PS, Epping Heights PS, Epping West PS & Roselea PS.

• Cluster 2: 

  • • Beecroft PS, Cherrybrook PS, Pennant Hills PS, Thornleigh West PS, Normanhurst PS, Normanhurst West PS, West Pennant Hills PS & John Purchase PS.

• Cluster 3: 

  • • Galston PS, Middle Dural PS, Glenorie PS, Arcadia PS, Annangrove PS, Hillside PS & Dural PS.

In recent years Clusters 1 & 2 have amalgamated to form an 11 - 14 school competition, Dural PS has moved into this and Cluster 3 is still going strong.

Stage 2 PSSA History:

Commenced in 2018 through the hard work and dedication of Mr Evan Gibbons (Beecroft Zone Life Member) from Normanhurst West Public School.

Stage 3 PSSA History:

Commenced in the early 2000s through the hard work and dedication of Mr Wade Bridgewood (Beecroft Zone Life Member) from Beecroft PS & Mr Mark Bryant (Beecroft Zone PSSA Life Member) from Pennant Hills PS.

Cluster 3 PSSA History:

Commenced in 2009 through the hard work and dedication of Mr Evan Gibbons (Beecroft Zone Life Member) at Glenorie PS at that time. 

Who Plays: 

• Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4)

• Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6)

• Cluster 3 Seniors (Years 5 and 6)

• Cluster 3 Juniors (Years 3 and 4)

When: 

• Stage 2 & 3 Summer Competition: is on Friday's in Term 1, then the end of Term 3 and continues into Term 4.

• Stage 2 & 3 Winter Competition: is Term 2 and 3. Ends about Week 6-7 in Term 3.

• Cluster 3: Term 3 on Fridays.

Game Times: 

• Stage 2 11:25am - 1:00pm

• Stage 3 1:15pm - 2:40pm

• Cluster 3: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Team Compositions: 

• Stage 2 and Stage 3 Interschool Sports have separate Boys and Girls competitions.

• Cluster 3 is mixed ability and mixed gender teams.

Interschool Sports Offered:

• Stage 2 Summer is T-Ball and League Tag

• Stage 3 Summer is Softball and League Tag

• Stage 2 Winter is Small Sided Soccer and Netball

• Stage 3 Winter is Small Sided Soccer and Netball.

• Cluster 3 is League Tag and Netball

Finals Day, at the completion of the season:

• All Stage 2 Teams play in Finals Day, 1v2, 3v4, 5v6 etc.

• 1st v 2nd play each other in Stage 3.

• Cluster 3 do not play finals
