2023 Zone Cross Counrty Carnival Convenor:

Date: Thursday 25th May 2023, Backup day is Thursday 1 June 2023
Venue: Fagan Park, Galston
Time: Arrival from 9:30am, course orientation 10:30am, first event at 11:00am
Cost: No entry fee but it does cost for car parking in the park
Attire: School sport uniform, no spikes.

Entry to Zone Cross Country:

5 boys and 5 girls per school in each age group from Member School Cross Country Carnivals

Zone Cross Country Program:

10:30am: Walk the Course Orientation, 2 groupings 8/9/10s & 11/12/13s
11:00am: 8/9 Years Boys then Girls
11:30am: 10 Years Boys then Girls
12:00pm: 11 Years Boys then Girls
12:30pm: 12/13 Years Boys then Girls
1:00pm: Presentations

Zone Cross Country Distance:

8/9 years and 10 years - approx 2km
11 years and 12/13 years - approx 3km

Zone Cross Country Course:

The course will be similar to previous years but may change without notice on the morning of the run for safety reasons.
- - This is why it is vitally important to walk the course at 10:30am
The planned course map is shown below
There will be a common start and finish for all age groups.
