Some of our main aims are to encourage self expression, be experimental and have an inquiring approach to Art & Design work. We build on personal success, develop confidence and promote knowledge and understanding of cultural influences.
Innovation and creativity are two main requirements of today’s society and these areas are encouraged and supported, enabling our pupils to positively contribute to the world around them.
Art is about creativity and creativity is not just for artists
People use creativity EVERY DAY in ALL walks of life…. To decorate our homes...To tell a story about something…For enjoyment...To describe things....
Artists and designers are involved in designing and creating almost everything we buy, from book covers to high fashion and furniture.
However, every business needs creative thinkers....Scientists, Engineers, Entrepreneurs, performers, writers, retail managers...the list is endless.
In Art & Design, we:
