Students have 90 seconds to come up with the longest word possible with the letters provided.
Students will complete a reading journal entry about a chapter from their independent reading novel.
Students will finish the chapter they are currently reading or review the one that they have most recently completed. Students should then answer the following questions in order to deepen their understanding of their book.
Chapters:
Where does the chapter take place?
What is the most important thing that happened in that chapter? (not a summary)
How does this chapter connect to other events in the book?
Why did the author include this chapter?
Their responses will be completed on Google Classroom under the assignment 'Chapters.'
*If a students have forgotten their books then they can read Chapter 1 of Holes and complete their entry about that chapter.
