Now that students have had extensive experience crafting true paragraphs, they should have a good idea of the type of information and details non-fiction authors use.
We will read Big Pigs Overrun An Island as a class. Before revealing whether this is true or fake, we will have a discussion about what elements of the writing might entice the students to think this paragraph could be true.
We will create a list that students can refer back to later.
What makes a good fake paragraph?
