Schoology is the Learning Management System (LMS) that has become the EPSD Educational Hub for Grade 6 through Grade 12. Schoology is the go to place to find out anything and everything related to every class that your child is enrolled in.

Creating Your Parent Account on Schoology
Login to PowerSchool Parent Portal
Contact your child's school to receive your access code.
Enter the Access Code
Complete required information of your name and the email/username/password that you want to create!

Navigating Schoology to View Your Child's Classes
Student Activity: A newsfeed of information that was posted related to all of your child's courses and groups
Courses: You can see a list of your child’s current courses. Click the course name to navigate to the course profile as your child views it.
Groups: You can see a list of your child’s Schoology Groups. Groups can be used for a variety of activities, from school projects to extracurricular teams and clubs.
Upcoming/Calendar: The upcoming section displays a list of your child’s upcoming assignments and events. Click to view a calendar of past and upcoming events and assignments.
Grades: If a teacher elects to use the Schoology gradebook, it should be a mirro image of what is displayed in PowerSchool

Adding an Additional Child onto Your Account
Once you have logged in to your Schoology Parent Account and added your initial child, you have the ability to add more children!
Click on your name in the upper-right hand corner
Select "Add Child"
Retrieve Access Code from SwiftK12 inside of PowerSchool Parent Portal as you did when you created your account
Copy the access code from the next child's "Schoology Parent Letter"
Enter the access code back on Schoology

Changing your Notifications & Adding the Weekly & Daily Parent Summary
You have the ability to select which type of notifications you do/don't receive by customizing them.
Click on your name in the upper-right hand corner
Go to "Settings" and then "Notifications"
You also can turn on to receive a daily/weekly e-mail summary!

Frequently Asked Questions (Parents)
What do I do if I forgot my password?
EPSD does not manage parent Schoology account passwords. You would click on "Forgot Password" just as you would on any site you have forgotten your password to. An automated e-mail would be sent to you with a link to reset your password.
I'm having trouble logging in. Do I login at the same place where my child logs in to Schoology?
All EPSD Faculty/Staff & Students login at a EPSD specific Schoology link. ALL Parents will login at www.schoology.com
What do I do with the "Access Code" after I use it to create my account?
Once your account is created, you no longer need your child's access code or the "Schoology Parent Letter".
Do I need to make a new parent account every year?
No, this account only needs to be created one time!
Will my account follow with my child each year?
Yes! Once you create your account, it will follow your child and all of their new courses/groups each school year until they graduate.
What can I view with my Schoology parent account?
