Epic! Books is online platform that allows students to read assigned material as well as gives students choice in what they want to read. By using Epic! teachers will be able to suggest books, see how often students are reading, and also what books they are choosing.
This will work on any device: laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, iPads, iPhones, Android Tablets, & Kindles. If there is no app available, simply use the Chrome browser to access! The app is available in Self-Service for all District Owned iPads.
Go to www.getepic.com or open up the app on the iPad/Tablet/Phone
Click Log In or Already Have an Account
Select Students & Educators
Enter Your Class Code (Supplied by Your Child's Teacher)
Select Your Name & Enter PIN (Optional, if Teacher set it up)
Explore all of the books that Epic! has to offer your child. From Epic! originals to non-fiction and fiction texts to audiobooks and videos!
Search for a specific book, author, or topic with the search bar. This is great for research on specific topics!
Like a book? Click on the heart while reading the book to Add to Your Favorite. This will make it really easy to access later.
Do you have notification here? That means your teacher has sent you a book to read! Check it out!
Tip 1 - Read with you child, whether old school book or digital books like on EPIC. Sit together, share the reading and talk about the book as you go.
Tip 2 - When reading online, make sure to use reputable sites like EPIC
You will receive an email invitation from Epic through your child’s classroom teacher. Please closely follow instructions noted in the email to create an account using your email address (the same email address you received the invitation through) and a new password. If you have not received an email from Epic through your teacher, please reach out to your child’s teacher directly.
If you have previously created an account on Epic, please follow the link in the email invitation from your teacher to accept the free remote access and connect to your teacher’s class.
No payment card is required to sign up for the free remote access to Epic, just an email address. If you do not use the invitation sent by your teacher for Remote Student Access, you will not be able to take advantage of this offer.
Once you have created an account, you can just sign into Epic using your email and password, and your child can read anytime!
Your child can use Epic on any web browser (on a laptop or desktop computer), or the Epic app on any iOS or Android devices.
Yes. You can create profiles for up to four children to use Epic simultaneously.

For some users, the videos may be turned off. To turn on the videos for your child, please follow these steps:
Log in to the parent profile with your password
Click on "Settings" (gear icon) located on the upper section of the page.
Scroll down and choose the "Learning Videos" option and click on the button to "ENABLE" this feature.
Your child will have free access to Epic through the end of the school year (June 30th). After June 30th, families are welcome to sign up for a paid subscription of Epic for $7.99/mo.
