Accessibility on the Chromebook
Using Accessibility Features that are built into the multiple platforms and native to the Chromebook can help you be more efficient with your school work and customize both your assignments and the look/feel of your Chromebook to suit your needs.
How do I turn on the Accessibility Features on my Chromebook?
On the bottom right, click on the time.
Select Settings
On the left, select Advanced -> Accessibility
Make sure to Always Show Accessibility Features turned on
Choose Manage Accessibility Features
Turn the Accessibility Feature you want on

You must have each one of these turned on prior to using them. Follow the directions about to do so.
SELECT TO SPEAK
Using the select to speak, you can simply highlight a word, phrase, or paragraph and press Alt + Shift + S to have it read aloud.
SCREEN MAGNIFIER
The Screen Magnifier will allow you to zoom in on certain parts of the desktop quickly by pressing Control + Shift + + to zoom in and Control + Shift + - to zoom out.
HIGH CONTRAST MODE
Using the select to speak, you can simply highlight a word, phrase, or paragraph and press Alt + Shift + S to have it read aloud.
ON SCREEN KEYBOARD
The on screen keyboard will allow you to use dictation, swipe typing, and handwriting to text features.
