PowerSchool vs. Schoology
In an effort to help you navigate between the two platforms, we have outlined some of the key features. Please understand that while students’ grades may appear in the Schoology Gradebook, they are unofficial. All official grades are located in PowerSchool.

Always check current averages for classes in PowerSchool.
I want to communicate with my child(ren)’s teacher.
Use Schoology's Message System or email to communicate with the teacher.
I want to check what assignments my child(ren) have this week
I want to check a grade on a specific assignment.
While you can check both PowerSchool and Schoology for grades, please note that only assignments assigned and graded in Schoology will appear in that gradebook. This may include formative assessments that do not appear in PowerSchool.I want to check my child(ren)’s attendance records.

Why are my child(ren)’s grades different in Powerschool & Schoology?
This happens because while Schoology’s gradebook has individual assignment grades, it doesn’t compute the final average (including category weights) in the same manner as Powerschool. Please always refer to Powerschool for final averages.
How do I obtain parent/guardian portal access to Powerschool & Schoology?
Please contact your child’s building. They will be able to provide you with access codes to sign up.

PowerSchool
PowerSchool (sign in using the prefix to the @eastpennsd.org username and password
Example: ajones instead of ajones20@eastpennsd.org
Schoology (sign in using “Sign in with Google” and the student’s @eastpennsd.org username and password
