Welcome to this new MuseOn exhibit.

This quick guide is aimed at assisting you with your students and the visit to the exhibit. This new presentation deals with the investigation on how society seems set on increased virtual presence, and the exhibit also seeks to help the visitor understand the benefits and pitfalls of the choices affecting our future with this regard.

Students will need devices (either a cellphone or a tablet) with QR code readers, to see the exhibit. This is because we are using an AR (Augmented Reality) software from BlippAR. By using AR technology we are reinforcing the context of virtuality within the exhibition space, and helping the public understand possible futures. Please go to the page "Test Drive" in order to see how the technology works, and enable you to show the students how to use it during the exhibit

Visitation

Visitation to the exhibit is done through a Google Sheet sign-up. Visits are done independently from Mr. Daniel's (MuseOn curator) presence, once the exhibit is guided by a virtual narrator. Students should start the visit by watching the introductory video (they must use their devices to scan the QR code, in order to watch the video). Then they are free to roam and see the exhibit. There is a list of suggested post-visit activities for LS students as well as a follow-up inquiry for the US students.

For US teachers

This exhibit is ripe for conceptual questions about our society, consumption, expression, market, technology, and many others that reflect our current reality. Students are invited to see the many aspects of the exhibit and listen to the provocations given at each section of the show. Students are also invited to share their thoughts and their own conceptual questions by filling out this form.

Visits should start by watching the introductory video. This can be done in the classroom, or at the exhibit. Each teacher should decide what is fits the schedule best.

Students should bring their own devices, preferably with headphones!

For LS teachers
