Jessica Nguyen: The Hidden Figure

Reed Landry: To Live

The future is a mystery to all,

And I, like others, cannot see ahead;

Sometimes it worries me how hours do haul

With little time until we all are dead.

The seasons change and us along with them,

As after summer leaves fall hues will come,

Yet our own knowledge God loves to condemn

To ignorance of what we will become.

There’s only the Present to comfort men,

And good friend, Past, to bring them memories,

But I know one thing will still be true when

I think about the speed of Future’s breeze,

So long as you by me remain beside,

So long will fear of time ahead subside.
