Time Flies

Dallas Day: Time Flies

Early mornings with bright sun and blue sky,

Short walks to the field, with jokes and trash talk.

Passion and sweat, playing ball on the fly.

All day, enjoying the game with no clock.

But he left for college, I got lonely.

He comes home, but over time things have changed;

When he is gone, I do miss him deeply,

But he says that things will get rearranged.

He gives advice for the next step in life.

I look up to him and respect his word;

He gives and provides me with his old knife.

He helps me out because I am his nerd.

We will never turn against each other,

I love him because he is my brother.
