I am hard-working student athlete who is devoted to not only my family and school but also my community. Yes, I work for profit but I always like to give back to my parents and church for always supporting my endeavors. Outside of school, here are some of the volunteer opportunities that I've enjoyed:
First Works Soccer Program
Refereed each season with a group of other youth referees, where we all donated a part of our money to help other kids in a different country
Helped a Belize team of kids get soccer cones, cleats, soccer balls, and uniforms so that they could play soccer together with all the right equipment
Refereeing At Inter Atlanta soccer fields
Assisted youth development events in which I refereed younger kids' games (roughly U9's and U10's)
Helped the youth learn the game better and understand the rules
Would sometimes pause the game to explain to them what fouls, illegal throws-in, and such were
Youth Tree Team
Performed weekly maintenance by watering and mulching trees
Removed over 13 acres of disruptive species at Freedom Park, Frankie Allen Park, Browns Mill Urban Food Forest, etc.
Simple Appreciation
Started supporting veterans during the COVID-19 quarantine and continued with the program
Wrote letters to veterans, thanking them for their service and just offering them conversation
Upheld an oath of confidentiality and had a trusting relationship with each of the veterans I wrote to
American Explorers & North Carolina Outward Bound
Built leadership skills
Cleared up forest trails and picked up litter
Atlanta Track Club
Worked with Kilometer Kids Fun Run and Dash as a field events volunteer
Promoted a healthy lifestyleÂ
Helped facilitate the kids during the actual race if necessary
