PARENTS GOT TALENT
PAPA KI RASOI
“Happiness is watching the man of your life cooking for you and the secret ingredient for it is love”
Parents take so much interest while preparing their little ones for various competitions organized by us, we found that each parent is a child at heart and sees himself/herself as a participant. They have the spark within, so to convert that spark into a fire, we came up with the idea of hosting an event ….actually a series of fun competitions just for our enthusiastic parents.
We call it “Parents Got Talent”.
We set the ball rolling on Saturday, 27th of August 2022 with “PAPA KI RASOI” - a cookery competition. The school campus wore a festive look. All the Super Dads looked wonderful wearing chef caps and aprons. They cooked up a storm of delicious dishes, on an Induction hotplate, gas stoves, and ovens. Some opted for cold cooking. Our young chefs helped their fathers and all the moms were just clicking pictures and enjoying the food cooked by the dads. It was a pleasure watching them all live, spending quality family time.
Chef Dr Nititn Shende and Chef Neeraj Jain graced the occasion and judged the competition. In his address, Dr Shende spoke about the importance of good nutrition, good food combinations, and bad food combinations. He also mentioned that he was attending an event of this type for the first time in Nagpur! The judges appreciated this remarkable effort of Team DPS Lava. The Principal, Ms Anupama Sagdeo happily tasted the food and even guided the Dads during the whole event.
The winners of the competition were Mr Shailendra Sharma who made a mouth-watering Sizzler platter of dal makhani and Dr Abrar Kothawala who cooked a tempting volcano cheese bun and served it with a chocolate cream cold drink.
The winners went home with exciting prizes. A small token of appreciation and love was presented to all the participants to honour their efforts.
Dear Parents....... Gear up for the next competition coming up in September 2022.
