Life as a teacher begins the day you realise that you are a learner
At DPS Lava we believe that professional development for teachers can help teachers plan their time better and stay organized. This makes teachers more efficient and gives them extra time to focus not on paperwork but on students.
The pre-primary teachers underwent a Montessori Developmental training session under Ms Munira Akhtar and Anjana M. The trainers came from Bengaluru on 28th July and conducted sessions for 3 days.
The Montessori experts taught many new techniques and refined the methods used by the teachers in the Montessori Lab. The training sessions were indeed fruitful and enriching.

School Innovative Ambassadors
The New Education Policy has laid huge emphasis on promoting out-of-the-box thinking amongst students. To achieve this goal, the role of a teacher is highly significant. The teachers need to become mentors and guide these young minds in their pursuit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Thus, it is equally crucial for mentors to have adequate mentoring skills.
With this aim, the School Innovation Ambassador Program has been conceptualized by the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education to train school teachers across the country who will nurture young school students on Ideation, IPR, Product Development, Design Thinking, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
In order to strengthen the mentoring capacity of teachers for nurturing and handholding ideas from students, CBSE collaborated with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE launched an online ‘Innovation Ambassador Program’. The five-module training program was self paced learning with integrated assessments .
Under this program five teachers from Delhi Public School Lava, Nagpur completed their training and have become Innovative Ambassadors.
The next batch of teacher training is in progress. The school aims to open an Innovation cell in the school to train the students to become innovators in future and spread the culture of design thinking , idea generation , and patenting in the school.
