Delhi Public School, Lava, Nagpur celebrated the 76th Independence day
on 15th August 2022 with patriotic fervour and zeal.
The Chief Guest, Dr Abhay Gandhi, Dean Academics, VNIT Nagpur, and Principal Ms Anupama Sagdeo accompanied by staff members and students hoisted the National Flag and sang the National Anthem.
The Chief Guest, Dr Gandhi, motivated and urged the students to be self-reliant and focus on all-around development rather than just academic excellence. He appreciated the work done by the school and the teaching staff to ensure the holistic development of all the students.
The Head Boy, Om Pawar's words resonated deeply when he shared his views and feelings about making the youth aware of their responsibilities towards our motherland.
Madhura Dabarkar of Grade VIII delivered an excerpt from Prime Minister Narendra Modiji's speech that addressed the youth of India.
The life of Veer Sawakar was the theme of an enthralling dance-drama presented by the senior members of the dance club.
Students from the Junior Dance Club performed on a song depicting our love for our motherland.
The school choir presented a melodious song that showcased India's diversity and the silken bonds that unite us all. Independence Day Celebrations were concluded by the choir group singing the national song Vande Matram.
Rendevous at Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an event organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's independence. The Amrit Mahotsav includes a series of events across the country. Delhi Public School, Lava organized an activity under the Community Outreach Programme to reach out to the citizens of Nagpur by sharing the voices of today's youth with the city in association with Nagpur's most popular Radio station, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM.
Students got an opportunity to go on air and share their views on the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and what the youth of new India want freedom from.
The show was conducted by the young and popular Radio Jockey Farhaan. The students got exposure and experienced how a professional radio station works.
