APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The project workshop introduces the students to working in 3D design, VFX and game design, through cross-discipline work paced by the development of a common project. An open window on the production world, made of different professional roles and specialisations that the students will get to know in-depth through collaborations or simulations.
The investigation on the state of the art of digital production will explore technical aspects, language approaches, and professional practices in relation with the most innovative and interesting developments of multimedia creative productions.
The programme grants 10 credits, divided as follows:
APPLIED DIGITAL MEDIA: 4 CFA
VFX LAB: 6 CFA
Successful students will be able to:
Manage the individual timeline in relation to the group’s work pace
Position individual professional roles in a real work context
Carry out the critical analysis of a project
Understand individual positions, roles and functions within a work team
Relate to the various media professional roles and media connected to the workflow
Confidently manage the different media involved in order to devise a project and subsequently implement it
APPLIED DIGITAL MEDIA:
Understanding the professional scenario and its specialisations in the field of Virtual Production
Development of work practices and project management skills tailored to the needs of digital production
VFX LAB:
Fundamentals of Unreal Engine for the production of VFX
This is a theoretical/project based course.
The students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Graded exercises
Completion of a project
Further details about the exams will be provided by the professors.
The final grade will result from the weighted average of the programme modules.
