Theoretical
This programme looks at art as a key for the interpretation of contemporary phenomena: the language contexts and scopes of art, the manipulation and consumption of images from the early stages of the industrial era to the technology and communication media development that characterize the contemporary scenario.
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 CFA credits.
By the end of the programme, successful students will be able to:
Identify the historical avant-gardes
Decode the language of modern art
Put the 20th century artistic currents into the right context
Analysis of the historical avant-gardes
Understanding of the political and social context
Analysis of the historical and chronological patterns
Study of the 20th century debates and conflicts
The contemporary artistic research scenario
Expressions and contaminations between visual arts, architecture, design, advertisement images, multimedia and their deep, unprecedented and current communicative potential
The programme focuses on theoretical courses.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the different topics:
