Theoretical/project based
This teaching introduces the students to conceiving multimedia works characterized by non-linear development, where the crucial role is played by the decision-making process of the users. In particular, the students approach the creation and writing of interactive stories, through the build-up and development of characters and sceneries that evolve according to their hosting media.
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 8 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Identify the main elements of non linear writing
Develop a personal narration style based on specific technological and multimedia contexts
Develop complex scripts
Interactive storytelling
Elements of interactive narration

Creation of characters
Story arc and relational network

This is a theoretical/project based course.
The students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Completion of a project
Oral discussion

The final grade will result from the weighted average of the programme modules.
