INTRODUCTION


It was fresh in my mind the days I spent time teaching my 3 years old nephew, creating a dot from a space to form a line. Creating another line to form a shape, and giving value to a shape by putting different colors, considering its textures. I remember that it was pandemic that time when I felt motivated to do many artworks. I spent most of my time working on my masterpieces having a jolly nephew beside me patiently waiting to see the outcome of my work. He is indeed my number one fan. The arts have influences my life in many amazing ways, all throughout my life, art has been the place I run to and become the world of my escaped from sadness. My life was so amazing just like the arts I made. As, I’ve grown older, art has become so much more than that. Every piece of art I create, is a journey into my soul. It is a priceless way to deal with my emotions and my struggles. I create art not just because I enjoy it and because I want to, but because I have to. I remember that it was 2 years bygone since the last artwork I made, an artwork, that been displayed during his burial. An artwork that I never expect my number one fan would be gone and become my subject. My life crumble and so with my passion in art. Everyday I don’t know how to start things from the usual. I don’t know how to get back the things I love to do. Until the time that my Internship in college has started. As a student teacher, I diverted my emptiness into my students. The students brings back the courage within me to continue my passion in arts. Students gives me hope to start from the beginning. They are the reasons why I started to learn and practiced the 7 elements of art.


All throughout my journey in my internship, l discover my new meaning of the seven elements of art. Firstly, the shape. The shape is the reflection of learners mind. Teachers shape the learners through what they teach in class. Imperative to our profession is our ability to demonstrate accurate, in-depth and broad knowledge of the concepts we deliver in every teaching opportunity.Research-based information and actual application of the learning principles are expected in the delivery of lessons. Nowadays, the use of technological advancements supports the teaching and learning process. While we teach, we give premium to literacy and numeracy. And with appropriate learning strategies it will surely shape their mind. Secondly, the space. The space is the learning environment of the learner. Learning environment provides a space for learners to focus, therefore promoting meaningful learning experiences, encouraging a higher level of performnace and motivating the practice of higher-order thingking skills. Teachers ensure the safety and security of the learners with fairness that welcomes them to participate in activities. They also support the learner's active participation to promote purposive learning. Besides the execution of the plan, teachers manage learner' behavior in and out of the classroom. Thirdly, the color. The color means the diversity of learners. The variety of colors represents the diversity of learners. In the classroom, there is diversity among learners. Teachers' knowledge and understanding of these are essential in planning and designing learning opportunities. Diversity in the school must be celebrated with tantamount teaching and learning strategies to encourage them to be successful and productive members of society. Fourtly, the value. The value means the curriculum and planning of the teachers. Students and their learning needs are at the centre of effective curriculum planning and assessment. This enables teachers to devise experiences to develop lifelong learners and responsible citezens. This dimension is underpinned by a shared set of values and clear purposes for teaching and learning. Principles and standards are what curriculum and planning value. Fiftly, the form. The form is the assessment and reporting . Teachers employ numerous assessment tools and strategies to monitor, evaluate , document and report the learners' needs, progress and achivements . Assessment data are used to inform and enhance the teaching and learning process and programs. It is also done by providing timely and constructive feedbak about the learning outcomes. The goal is to address the needs and augment their learning experiences. We use estblished and improved forms to supplement assessment and reporting. Sixtly, the line. This line means the community linkages and professional engagement. As teachers we are expected to establish school- community partnerships to support the teaching-learning experience of the primary stakeholders being a part of the educative process. The learning environment has to be responsive to the community context of the learners as well. And the community has to know the school policies, programs, and activities. A line of connections and open communication is a must. Lastly, the texture. This texture is the personal growth and professional development. Learning does not stop: therefore, teachers must be reskilled and upskilled regularly. These contribute to professional development by actively enagaging in professional circles, living the practice philosophies, and reflections. Like texture, there must be consistency towards meeting a good feel and appearance in the professional field and self-fulfillment.


The seven elements of arts give meaning to my life. It provided me thorough knowledge about what should I do once I become a teacher. This e-Portfolio showcase my inpirational and purposeful journey as a Bachelor of Elementary Education intern in Panarayon Elementary School. Being a future elementary teacher in this time of pandemic is a very crucial and hard challenge for me wherein I became flexible and understanding of the entire situation. I become creative in using a suitable approach in the adjustment on the teaching process. I believed that these seven elements of arts helped me to nurture my learners to be prepared as they move to another year. I almost give up and loose hope to continue my passion. But god provided me learners as an instrument to continue and pursue my passion. My students and arts are my strength to fight life challenges and pursue my dreams. I may encountered many roadblocks and gray areas along my journey, but as long as there learners and arts that inspires and gives me hope. My heart will always be a figther, a figther that will bring light to education.
