FORM OF PROGRESS
Teachers do the teaching; learners do the learning. By their performance, we get to know how far a student has learned the lesson. It is by their grades their level of performance is being rated. Grades are an indicator of the quality of a student's work. With grading, teachers can see a student's varying level of performance. Report cards are a form of attainment that guide the teachers and parents in improving their child's knowledge and performance. Like the forms in art, it gives visibility to viewers and an accurate method.
Report cards are often given to the parents every quarter of the school year. A teacher must communicate and provide the child's report card to the parents. Giving report cards to the parents made me realize that speaking to parents about their child's performance and academic progress is essential. We get to inform the child's parents how their child is at school through this. In giving report cards to parents, we, the teachers, provide the pupils or learners and the parents with feedback on their child's learning. This will let me clarify to the parents what their child understands and what they don't and show their areas where their child can improve. Parents can also know which skills their child has already mastered and know which areas they'll need more practice and support. And for most parents who value their child's education the most, the report card is what they consider one of the most important documents they receive from the school.
For grades, quality learning and essentially a way to measure a child's progress and performance communicator of grades between teachers, parents, and learners is a must. This shows a child's work and effort, and this being a source of self-motivation for a child would be equivalent to success and improvement.
