Mathematics Activities - 30 Minutes Daily:

  • Recite numbers forward and backwards up to 120.

  • Find 10 objects and show a family member how to compose 10 in more than one way.

  • Find two small collections of items and describe to someone which collection has more/ less.

  • Create your own addition/ subtraction story and share it with someone at home (up to 20).

  • Track 3 different times in one day, and tell the time to the hour and half hour.

  • Find a small collection of coins to count in order to determine the value.

  • Find 2-D shapes at home with a family member (circle, triangle, rectangle, square, rhombus, hexagon).

  • Find 3-D shapes at home with a family member (cylinder, cone, sphere, cube, rectangular prism, triangular prism).

  • Track 3 different times in one day, and tell the time to the hour and half hour.

  • Find examples of graphs (newspapers, magazines, websites, evening news, packaging).
