READING/WRITING

Read or listen to the story, Sky Color or any other story you may have at home.

1. Read or listen to a story.

  • After reading, talk with someone about what the story was about.

  • Discuss what lesson the characters learned in the story.

2. Write at least two complete sentences to tell about your favorite part of the story. Draw a picture to go along with your sentences.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Discuss the basic needs of your family with a family member (food, shelter, clothing). Discuss how your family meets those needs. How do you get food, how do you get clothes, how does your family get shelter?

Potential Grade: Ask students what their needs are and how their family meets those needs. How does their family get food, clothing, and shelter?
