French Cuisine
The cuisine I chose for my senior culinary arts project is French cuisine. In my family, we express our Puerto Rican side more than our French side especially when it comes to food. I want to explore French cuisine and bring more of it into my family’s cooking style at home and maybe teach my siblings some of the techniques I learn along the way. To me, French cuisine is the other part of myself that I don’t know anything about, but I am excited to learn more. I want to understand more French cooking techniques and see how they do things differently, and how they prepare, cook, and serve their food. French cuisine is such a unique cooking style, it is considered a higher-class cuisine. I need to make sure I keep in mind that appearance is just as important as the flavor of the food, especially for French cuisine.
