Positive Psychology
You may be feeling fatigued, pessimistic, angry, bored or even grieving for what our world looked like before Covid-19. It is easy to feel trapped in a cycle of negative thought processes. Social media, society, the community and mass media can often present a world view of only doom and gloom.
We are recognising that we are living in a world where there are serious global health issues which have impacted the way that we live. There is a sense of loss and sadness because we can not see our friends, go to school, travel and have the freedom to interact safely in the community. However it is important to maintain perspective and have gratitude for the things we have in our lives.
So what can you do to improve your mental wellbeing?
Think about things that are in your control!
Have gratitude for your current situation, find something to be grateful for
Be kind to yourself and have compassion for others
Understand that we are all dealing with this differently
Maintain perspective
Have realistic expectations and goals for yourself and others
