Gratitude
"A grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts itself to great things"
- Plato
Taking the time to recognise and appreciate the things we are grateful for can actually make you feel better as it releases the happy chemicals in our brain referred to as dopamine and serotonin.
So what happens when we are happier? We feel more connected to others, our attitude towards situations can be more positive and we feel better physically and mentally.
During challenging times like, it is more important than ever to practice gratitude and having compassion towards yourself and others.
We can practice being grateful by appreciating even the the smallest and simplest things in our lives.
Things to consider!
Who am I grateful for?
What am I lucky to have in my life?
Who are people I have helped or could help in the future, and why?
What material posessions am I grateful for?
What skills and talents do I have that I am grateful for
Practice asking yourself some of these questions today!
