Saturday School Update / サタデースクールの更新情報

Dear Saturday School Parents, Guardians and Students ,

We regret to announce to you that the school has decided to close the Saturday School for the rest of the term due to the extension of the Quasi State of Emergency. We were hoping that we would be able to resume this week and complete the 2021 school year with you all. However since the omicron variant is still spreading rapidly throughout our area we felt that cancelling the term was the best decision to protect the whole school community. It is very sad that we cannot celebrate the Grade 6s graduation with the students. The certificate will be sent to you later.

今回のまん延防止等措置期間の延長に伴い、サタデースクールは残念ながら今期の残りの授業日はお休みとすることとなりましたので、お知らせいたします。今週から再開し、2021年度を皆さんと一緒に修了したいと考えていましたが、オミクロン株の感染拡大から学校全体を守るために休校にすることが最善の選択であるとの結論に至りました。６年生の卒業を一緒にお祝いすることが叶わず、とても残念です。修了証書は後日お送りします。

●Tuition refund　授業料の返金

The total amount will be 42,000 yen (7,000 x 6 days) per person.. Please fill out the form below and let us know your bank information by Monday, February 28th. If the student is enrolled with a sibling, please answer for one sibling only.

生徒一人につき42,000円（7,000円×6日分）を返金します。下記のフォームに必要事項をご記入の上、2月28日（月）までにお振込先をお知らせください。兄弟姉妹で在籍している場合は、一人分の回答で結構です。

●Inside shoes　上履き

For those who will come back next school year, we will keep your shoes until April 2022.

For those who are leaving Saturday School, please let the school know if you want them to be sent to you or for us to discard them for you. Your shoes will be sent back to you by COD. There is a section in the refund form to provide us with the information needed for us to deal with your shoes.

来年度も継続される方は、2022年4月まで靴を学校でお預かりします。

サタデースクールを今期で終了される方は、自宅にお送りするか、学校で処分するかをお知らせください。靴は着払いで返送されます。上記の返金フォームに、靴についてお答えいただく欄があります。

●Newsletter　ニュースレター

It will be sent to you when it is ready. Grade 6 certificates will be enclosed.

準備ができ次第、お送りします。６年生の生徒へは、修了証を同封してお送りします。

●Report cards　レポートカード

Unfortunately we will not be able to issue the report cards for the winter term because we did not have enough classes to evaluate the students. We hope you understand.

冬学期のレポートカードは、授業数が少なかったため、残念ながら発行することができません。ご了承ください。

To those students who are leaving Saturday School, we wish you continued success in your future English study.

サタデースクールを去られる皆さん、今後の英語学習の成功をお祈りします。

To those students who will continue Saturday School next year, we are looking forward to seeing you again in April.

来年度もサタデースクールを継続される生徒の皆さん、4月に再会できることを楽しみにしています。

サタデースクール

保護者及び生徒の皆さま

この厳しい環境の中、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。

新型コロナウィルス感染症の感染が拡大している状況を鑑み、埼玉県がまん延防止重点措置の間、サタデースクールを2月13日まで休校することとなりました。1月29日、2月5日、2月12日のサタデースクールは休校となります。授業参観も残念ながら中止となります。

今回の休校に際し、規定通り授業料（7,000円／１日）を返金致します。返金のご案内については、後日文書にてご案内いたします。

また、2022年度サタデースクールの申込期限は2月5日（土）です。継続を希望される方は、2月5日（土）までに申込書を郵送してください。

今後の予定に関しまして、引き続きブログのチェックをよろしくお願いいたします。

Dear Saturday School Parents, Guardians and Students ,

We hope that you all well during these difficult times.

After careful consideration in regards to the spread of the COVID-19 infection, the school has decided to cancel classes until February 13th while Saitama prefecture is under the Quasi-State of Emergency. Therefore there will be no school on January 29th, February 5th and February 12th. The parents open day is also cancelled unfortunately.

We will provide a refund (7,000 yen /day) for each cancelled day. The details will be sent to you later by mail.

By the way, the application deadline for the 2022 Saturday School Program is February 5, Saturday.

Those who wish to continue should submit your application ASAP.

Please continue to check the Saturday School blog and email for further information.

CIS Saturday School Health Guidelines / CIS サタデースクール健康ガイドライン

Saturday School wants to maintain a safe and healthy environment so that we can continue to offer classes on Saturday during the current surge in COVID numbers in the Kanto area. We need your help to keep the classes going. We request that you adhere to the following health guidelines:

サタデースクールでは、首都圏で新型コロナウィルス感染者の数が急増している現在、毎週土曜日にクラスを提供し続けられるよう、安全で健康的な環境を維持したいと考えています。授業を継続するためには、皆様のご協力が必要です。以下の健康ガイドラインを遵守していただきますようお願いいたします。

Please take the student’s temperature before leaving to come to school. Any temperature that is over 37.5° C, the student should stay at home.

　登校前に検温をお願いします。37.5℃以上の熱がある場合は自宅療養をお願いします。

If the student is displaying any cold-like symptoms like a cough, sore throat, etc, they should stay at home. If any family members are displaying any cold-like symptoms, students should also stay at home.

　すべての生徒は、風邪症状（咳、のどの痛み等）があるときは登校は控えてください。また、同居している家族の方に風邪症状がある場合も、生徒は登校を控えてください。

Any students, who have had their regular school or class closed due to COVID that week, should stay at home.

　在籍しているクラスや学校がコロナ感染のために休校している場合は登校を控えてください。

Students that start to exhibit any flu-like symptoms at school will be removed from the class and parents will be asked to pick them up. They should be taken to the doctors and you should let the school know of the results.

　学校で病気の兆候や症状が見られた生徒は、教室から隔離し、保護者の方に迎えに来ていただくこととします。生徒は帰宅後、医師の診察を受け、保護者は生徒の健康状態をオフィスにお知らせください。

When at school, students are expected to wear their masks properly (over both their mouths and noses) and at all times (unless eating or drinking).

　校内では常に（飲食時以外）、必ずマスクを着用してください。（鼻と口の両方を覆うように着用してください。）

Students should use the hand sanitizer available in each classroom often.

　消毒液が教室に設置されているので、こまめに手の消毒をしてください。

Students should not share any personal items like water bottles or towels.

　タオルや水筒などの身の回りのものを他者と共有しないでください。

We ask that parents go over expectations 4 to 7 with their children so they know the expectations before coming to class on Saturday.

　保護者の方は上記4から7についてお子様に説明いただき、サタデースクールで期待されている項目をお子様と一緒に確認してください。

If any Saturday School student does come down with COVID, we request that you contact us at let us know the following information:

　サタデースクールの生徒が新型コロナウィルスに感染していることが確認された（またはその疑いがある）場合は、必ず学校に連絡し以下の必要な情報の提供をお願いします。

Date of the test　検査（PCRまたは抗原検査）を受けた日
Date of the test result　検査結果の日付
With or without symptoms　症状の有無

All information given will not be shared with anyone else.

　提供いただく情報は第三者に開示されることはありません。

We thank you for your help in this matter and together we can create a safe and healthy learning environment that hopefully will allow us to maintain Saturday School classes for the rest of the term.

今学期もサタデースクールの開校を維持することができるよう、皆さまと一緒に安全で健全な学習環境を作りあげていきたいと思っております。皆様のご協力に感謝いたします。

The school will make future decisions in this matter based on the information provided to us by the various levels of government health departments. We will make the best decision for the safety of your child.

今後も、政府保健機関各所から提供された情報をもとに、学校は判断していきます。お子様の安全のために、最善の決断をさせていただきます。
