春学期最終日ご案内 / Last Day Announcement Spring Term 2021

Unfortunately, we will not be able to have guests on the Last Day due the State of Emergency. We were hoping that we would be able to have some family members join but after consulting with the Saitama Health officials and our school’s leadership team found out that we can not have guests yet. As a school, we are disappointed that we are not able to welcome you to the class and enjoy a meal with us. We are hoping with the continued vaccinations going on in Japan that next term we will be allowed to welcome you to the Open Day and Christmas Concert.

On the last day, we will be having activities with the classes and enjoying a meal prepared by Cesar’s Kitchen. Students will not need to bring their snacks / lunches.

Again I apologize for this change of plans. We had hoped by waiting that we would be allowed to have some guests come in on Saturday. Unfortunately that is not possible now.

残念ですが、今学期も緊急事態宣言等による影響を考えて、最終日のイベントに保護者の参加なしで行うことになりました。何らかの形でご家族に来校いただけるかと考えましたが、県や保健所のガイドラインをもとに学校統括メンバーは保護者の参加を不可としました。サタデースクール担当としては保護者の皆さんに参加いただけなくなりとても残念です。お子様が楽しく過ごしているところを見ていただきたかったです。次の学期には、日本のワクチン接種状況も改善されて、授業参加やクリスマス・コンサートに来校いただけるようになっていると期待しています。

サタデースクール最終日には、各クラスごとにアクティビティーに参加し、当校レギュラー・プログラムでランチを担当しているシーザーズ・キッチンによる食事を用意します。生徒達はスナック/ランチを持参する必要はありません。

予定の変更が続きお詫び申し上げます。保護者の参加ができるかもしれないと期待してぎりぎりまで待ちましたので、大変お待たせしてしまいました。

授業参観は中止します。／Parent's Open Day Cancelled.

Dear Saturday School Community

Unfortunately due to the State of Emergency in Tokyo and the rise of COVID cases across the country, we have decided to cancel the Open Day on Saturday, May 22nd. We would have liked to have the Open Day as we believe that a student learns best when the whole community (school and family) is involved in their education. We delayed as long as we could hoping that the situation would improve. However, after consulting with the Saitama Health Department and the leadership group at the school, we have decided to err on the side of caution. There would just be too many people in each class to ensure that we are complying with the safety measures set out by the government. We also want to make sure that we are giving your child the safest learning environment possible. We apologise for this and hope that you understand why this decision was made.

Instead of an Open Day, we will video the students in some of their classes and once we have put them altogether, send you out the link so that you can see what is going on in the class. The students will have regular Saturday School classes on May 22nd. Again we are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

サタデースクールの皆さま

東京都が緊急事態宣言下にあり、全国的に新型コロナウィルス感染数が増えてきている状況を鑑み、残念ながら５月２２日に予定していた参観日はキャンセルすることに決まりました。学校と家族みんなが子ども達の教育に関わっていくことがとても重要であるため、参観日は大切な機会であり、実施に向けて検討を続け、感染状況が少しでも良くなることを願い、決断をギリギリまで待ちました。しかし埼玉県の保健関係各局や学校の理事会と相談した結果、今回は慎重にならざるを得ませんでした。参観日を実施した場合、各クラスの人数が多過ぎ、政府の感染防止ガイドラインに沿った生徒の安心安全な学習環境の維持が難しくなるからです。大変残念なお知らせとなりますが、皆さまに判断の理由をご理解いただけますようお願いいたします。

参観日の代わりに、各クラスの授業風景を撮影したものをまとめ、完成次第、皆さまに動画を見ていただけるようリンクをお送りしますので、しばらくお待ちください。５月２２日のサタデースクールは通常授業となります。

今回の苦しい決断をご理解ください。
