Request when you come to and from school by car / 車で送迎される方へのお願い
All parents that drive to school are requested to park cars in Parking Lot #3 and walk to and from the CIS campus, regardless of weather conditions. CIS set a policy that all members not drop off / pick up children on the streets around CIS for community safety reasons.
お車でお子様の登下校をされる場合は、かならず第三駐車場に駐車および乗降し、駐車場から学校まで歩いてください。当校では、学校と周辺の安全のために、すべての学校関係者に対して、道路上での車の乗降はしないように規定しています。
When walking to and from the parking lot, all students and parents must follow the CIS policy and stay on the designated walking paths. Taking the shortcut between the parking lots and the CIS campus is illegal (trespassing).
また、駐車場と学校間の徒歩移動についても、指定のルートを設けています。生徒保護者はこの規定を確認し、私有地の不法侵入を行わないようにして下さい。
The local police department, our neighbours and CIS are working together to ensure the safety of individuals using this area and respecting the landowner’s rights. CIS may suspend / expel those students/parents from school when safety risks and trespassing persist.
当校では日ごろから地元警察署や近隣住民や事業所ともコミュニケーションを取っており、当校関係者による上記安全に反する行為等については直ちに警察に通報していただくことになっております。また上記のような安全に反する行為が続く場合は当該生徒（保護者）の停学または退学処分も行います。

Parents' Open Day on October 17 / １０月１７日の保護者参観について
We are pleased to invite you to our Open Class Day on Saturday, October 17th. We look forward to seeing you. This will be a great opportunity to see your child participating in their Saturday School classes.
１０月１７日（土）の授業参観のご案内です。お子様のサタデースクールでの様子をご覧になる良い機会ですので、是非ご参観ください。
We would like to invite 2 family members per student. Infants are not included in the number of guests and are welcome to come along.
生徒一人に対し家族２名までご参観いただけます。乳幼児は人数に含みませんので、一緒にお連れいただいて大丈夫です。
Parents are welcome to come and see the 4th period class starting at 12:00. Periods 1 to 3 will be regular classes without visitors. Please wait in the cafeteria until the 4th period bell goes before making your way to the classrooms. Please stay out of the halls till the 4th period as it is distracting to students and teachers.
保護者の皆さまは１２時からの４時間目の授業を参観いただけます。１～３時間目は通常授業で、参観はできません。４時間目の始業ベルが鳴るまではカフェテリアでお待ちください。授業の妨げになりますので、始業ベルが鳴るまで教室周辺や廊下での待機はご遠慮ください。
Please bring your inside shoes and a bag to keep your outside shoes from home. There are no slippers available.
各自、室内履きと外履きを持ち歩く袋をご持参ください。学校にスリッパはございません。
As many students are using the school bus this year, it will be difficult for parents to ride the bus with their children on the way home. We kindly ask parents to walk or make their own way to the bus stop and meet their children there. Please make sure to discuss with your child in advance where and how you will meet at the bus stop.
今年度はスクールバスの利用者が多く、お帰りの際、保護者の方がお子様と一緒に乗車することが難しい状況です。保護者の皆さまには、徒歩等でバス停まで移動し、お子様と合流していただきますようお願いいたします。また、事前にお子様とバス停での待ち合わせ方法をご確認ください。

Safety and Manners When Commuting to and from Saturday School / 通学時の安全とマナーについて
Dear Saturday School Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation with our Saturday School program.
We would like to remind all students to be mindful of their safety and considerate of others when using trains and train stations on their way to and from Saturday School.
Please take a moment to review the following points with your child at home:
Do not run or play on train platforms.
Keep voices at an appropriate level on trains.
Do not walk around or play inside the train.
Be considerate of other passengers and follow appropriate manners when using public transportation.
In particular, for students who commute to and from school on their own, please remind them that unsafe behavior on train platforms or inside trains could lead to accidents or injuries.
We will continue to remind students at school about safe and appropriate behavior when commuting. We would also appreciate your support in discussing safety and manners on public transportation with your child at home.

いつもサタデースクールへのご理解とご協力をいただき、ありがとうございます。
サタデースクールへの行き帰りの際、駅のホームや電車内では、安全と周囲の方への配慮を心がけていただきますようお願いいたします。

・駅のホームでは走ったり、遊んだりしない
・電車内では大きな声で話さない
・電車内を歩き回ったり、遊んだりしない

Saturday Parking Lot Closing Time / 土曜日の駐車場閉鎖時間について

As part of our school’s safety policy, the school parking lots close at 1:30 PM on Saturdays.
For those dropping off or picking up by car, please make sure to move your vehicle from the parking lots by 1:25 PM.

学校施設の安全管理の一環として、学校駐車場は土曜日の13:30にクローズしています。
車で送迎される方は、13:25までに駐車場から車を出していただきますよう、ご協力をお願いいたします。

Items to bring / 持ち物について
Dear Saturday School Parents and Guardians,
It was very nice to see everyone again last Saturday.
This is a friendly reminder to please make sure your child brings the following items every Saturday:
● Coloured pencils
● Textbook and workbook (Grade 1 to 6 students)
Since all classes have Art this term, it is important for all students to bring coloured pencils every Saturday.

New Attendance Notification System / 新しい出欠連絡方法について
Dear Saturday School Parents and Guardians,
How is everyone doing? We hope you all had a great summer.
The Fall Term of Saturday School 2026 will begin this Saturday, September 5, and we are excited to start the new term with you.
The timetable for the Fall Term is available under the "Timetable / タイムテーブル" tab at the top of this blog.
Starting this term, we will be introducing a new attendance notification system for Saturday School.
If your child will be absent, arrive late, leave early, or will not use the school bus, please fill out the form below. Going forward, we will not accept attendance or bus notifications by phone or email unless it is an emergency.
Please note that there are deadlines for submitting the form:
