Materials Needed: Device for accessing Google Classroom
Reading - Snuggle up in your coziest spot with your books and read. You can read to yourself or ask a sibling, babysitter, parent, grandparent, etc. to partner read with you - take turn reading and listening to each other. Other options are logging into Epic! (it is linked on our Google Classroom) or Raz-Kids for reading online.
Time: 20 - 30 minutes

Langauage Arts -Play Teach Your Monster to Read to review letters, sounds and words. The link is on our Google Classroom. You could also play Teach Your Monster Reading for Fun.

Writing - Today I'm assigning an Art Hub for Kids drawing activity for Writing time - I have added a few characters to the link of Art Hub videos on the Google Classroom. In recognition of Family Literacy Day tomorrow, choose one of the characters to learn how to draw him/her. (Gerald, Piggie, Pete the Cat, Anna, Elsa, Harry Potter, etc.)
Time - 20-30 minutes
Materials Needed - pencil, eraser, paper, coloring tools
Math -
Number of the Day - pick one of your number cards and use that number to do the number of the day work.
Counting Practice - Today you will be counting obects and writing down the number that you count. The first thing you do is get your baggie or container of 100 objects. Reach in and grab a handful of the objects. Take them out and set them on the table/floor in front of you. Count how many objects you grabbed. When you are done counting, write that number down on a piece of paper or on a whiteboard. Put the objects that you grabbed back into the baggie or container and repeat - take out another handful, count them and write down the number. Keep grabbing handfuls for about 10 minutes.
Go Fish! or War! - Have a game of Go Fish! or War!
Time: about 30 minutes
Materials Needed: number cards, paper/whiteboard for Number of the Day work, reference charts for Number of the Day, 100 objects, paper and pencil or whiteboard and whiteboard marker for counting, deck of cards
Health and Wellness - I am adding Cosmic Kids Nibs the Octopus Yoga to the Yoga link on the 'Classwork' tab of our Google Classroom.
I have added a few different virtual field trips to our Google Classroom Classwork page. You can check those out anytime you want to learn about and see some animals, sea creatures or a dinosaur exhibit. I just added a new link to a NASA tour!
