Writing - Writer's Can Write to Make a List
We've already talked about how we can use writing to make a list. Today I would like the kids to write a list of animals. They can try to get between 7 - 10 and stretch out the sounds for the animals they don't know how to spell. Tell them to just do their best to sound out the tricky ones. :-) They can also give their list a title - 'Animals', maybe?
Time - 20 minutes
Materials Needed - pencil, eraser, paper
Math - Number of the Day - pick one of your number cards and use that number to do the number of the day work.
Boom Cards - I have added a link to 'Boom Cards' under the Math tab on our Google Classroom (Classwork tab). I did show how to use them on Monday's Google Meet. There are directions/questions that they won't be able to read, but there is a feature where the computer can read the directions to them - they just have to click on the speaker icon. There are a few decks of Boom Cards posted, they can pick from any that are there.
Time: about 30 minutes
Materials Needed: number cards, paper/whiteboard for Number of the Day work, reference charts for Number of the Day, device to access Google Classroom
Health and Wellness - I am adding Cosmic Kids Calypso the Flamingo Yoga to the Yoga link on the 'Classwork' tab of our Google Classroom.
I have added some How to Draw videos on the Art links on the 'Classwork' tab of our Google Classroom. Feel free to do those anytime you wish!
I have also added a few different virtual field trips to our Google Classroom Classwork page. You can check those out anytime you want to learn about and see some animals, sea creatures or a dinosaur exhibit.
